Carter started school this week. It was a big event in our household. Rob even left work to meet us at the school to wish little man a good day. Carter did okay, according to the teacher he only cried twice because he wanted to go home. But she was able to divert his attention both times to other fun activities. I work at the Co-op Wednesdays, so I guess tomorrow is Hailey and my first day of pre-school, and Carter’s second. Hailey will be hanging out in the baby room while I work in Carter’s classroom. Wish me luck : )
Last weekend Rick, Rajesh, Malia, Scott, Jaxon and Vegas came to visit us! On Friday, we relaxed while Rob, Rick and Carter mowed the backyard. Carter made a valiant effort to save all the clover flowers by standing between them and the mower, then by frantically picking them before they were shredded by the spinning blades. After Malia and the boys hit the casino, we had a great dinner and a movie on the back patio.
Rick, Rob, Malia, Carter and I woke up early Saturday to go fishing at Boca, while Jaxon and Hailey stayed home with Scott and Rajesh. Carter’s sensitive side was in full gear as he fought back tears for his little worm friends. The fishing trip was a success, they caught 5 fish. After lunch back at the house the ladies did a little shopping before Scott and Malia had to leave. We had a nice fish dinner Saturday night, where Carter ate his first fish eye, and we bid farewell to Rick and Rajesh Sunday morning. What a great weekend : )
We actually stayed home this weekend and it was amazing! Rob and Carter went to a Wake Boarding competition while Hailey and I went to a baby painting class. We met back up at home and decided to have an impromptu backyard movie night. Featured film was Curious George 2. Carter LOVED it, it was his very first full back yard movie. We ended the evening with some shadow dancing then off to bed for Carter and one more movie for us. It was the perfect night to watch a movie under the stars. It was so comfortable outside that we fell asleep and woke up in the LoveSac at 2 am, would have stayed out there except the sprinklers go off at 6am.
