Chanukah 2008
It’s always a little more complicated when Chanukah overlaps with Christmas, but we’ll get the hang of it eventually. We started celebrating Chanukah a day early with a quick trip to Medford for Latkes, dreidel and candle lighting with my parents, sister, brother-in-law, and brother. I think the most interesting gift given was an exotic fruit gifted to my dad by Lauren and Tony. This fruit was the size of small watermelon, was covered in sharp pointy spikes and smelled like rotting flesh once cut… appetizing, eh? They said it was the gift of life experience : ) That’s my family, gotta love ‘em! The rest of Chanukah was not that exciting. Carter got to help light candles and opened small gifts for each night (little cars, cups, books and puzzles and such) ~sg
